Counseling for Individuals, Couples, and Adolescents

Skills

In the safety of the counseling environment, you learn new skills for understanding, accessing, soothing,
and using emotions constructively–for healing and connection. I work actively with you in each session
using self-awareness skills that help you to change patterns and make new, empowering choices.

Healing Trauma

“Aren’t you over that YET? It happened so long ago!” You may have heard this (even from inside yourself) as you try to talk about a scary experience. You may feel frustrated, ashamed, even despairing over hurtful or confusing events and patterns that have shaped your life from long ago. In effective counseling, these traumatic memories and feelings can be accessed and integrated so that they are not controlling your life from behind the scenes. In a listening environment, using your emotional containment skills, you can find peace, and a newfound energy and hope to reclaim your power as the
creative, wonderful person you were born to be.

Tapping your creativity

As you work in counseling, you may find that you now have energy to give forgotten parts of yourself–ways of expression, spiritual feelings and connections, longed-for relationships–the attention they’ve been asking for. And you may find your life opening up in creativity, freedom, choice, health, relationship, work. That’s the exciting part of healing!

I look forward to working with you on a healing path to your truest, most alive, creative, and liberated way of being in the world!

Practice mindfulness skills. Heal old wounds. Experience strong, lasting healing.
